Wish Upon A Star

"Be careful what you wish for", I have been told several times.  When Jon Kent was first born and I was going through my PPD, all I wanted was for him to turn the magical 6 months old.  Six months was supposed to be when things got easier and more 'fun'.  Little did we know that at 6 months Jon Kent would be a lot more 'fun' but there would still be hard times.  As with any child there are going to be hard times, period.  Not to mention I was pregnant with Zoey at that time.  So as I am sure you could guess my head was spinning.  Nonetheless, I still to this day make "advance wishes".  "Oh I wish he would just walk so I wouldn't have to carry him around with this huge pregnant belly", "I wish he would quit walking around getting into stuff", "I wish he would learn to feed himself", "I wish he would quit throwing his food in the floor".  You get where I am going.  We always get what we wish for and then some.  My latest 'wish' is that Jon Kent would be more vocal.  He never was the baby that babbled.  He just kept quite for the most part.  Now he babbles and says words here and there but still not a lot, unlike many who are his age.  But alas, over the past several days he has really picked up his talking.  He told Zoey yesterday, when she wouldn't follow him around any longer, to "Come moan".  He then proceed to give her a gentle nudge to 'come moan'.  He also said "Here you go" when handing her a block to play with.   Now back to my wishing, I always wished that Jon Kent would have been an early talker.  But apparently that wish was saved for Zoey.  She can say "Mama, Dada, Bubba, Bye-bye, Baba, Meow, and Book".  She babbles ALL the time and is always chatting about something or another.  She is going to be my talker.  You know the kid who will talk to a brick wall.  Still I *did wish for a talker.  I guess in a way Jon Kent and Zoey are learning to talk together.  Umm, maybe I should wish that  they will potty train together....
