Bah Humbug to you OMEGA!!

Grrrr....

OK, so Kent calls OMEGA (the company building our house) yesterday.  He just wanted to ask some questions about the house (when the move in date would approx. be, could we hang some blinds up, when the government inspector would come by, etc.).  Well, the guy told us about 3 weeks ago that we would definitely be in by the first of the month.

Anyone got a calendar near by...  If not, tomorrow is the 1st of the month.

Anyway, well we see that is not going to happen.  He then tells Kent that they are having trouble getting in touch with the inspector.  But the funny thing is that whenever we needed to get in touch with the guy we could.  Ummm....

Also, the people who are supposed to come fix the yard (bring in dirt and hay) still haven't.  It's been beautiful here.  Temps in the 70's, plenty of sun...  But nope.  Not a sight of them as of yet.  And there is a chance of rain Thursday, so I am really hoping they are planning on getting in and out some time tomorrow.  But I'm not holding my breath...

So when are we actually going to get into the house...  My bet is never...  Grrr...  And we keep having to call the furniture people and the appliance people and move our installation dates.  Which I know is frustrating the fire out of them.  It would me anyways.  But we can't put anything into the house until we close....

Also, I went up there last night to clean the windows and such.  I thought at first glance that they had cleaned the place up pretty well.  Well, I was wrong.  Saw dust was every where.  I got all the windows cleaned last night and some of the kitchen.  So I am going to be up there in the next few days cleaning that house up...  Which I seem to have the time for since we won't be moving in any time soon....

OMEGA really knows how to crush a girl's dreams....

Finished

The house is finished.  Well, the house is...  The yard still needs to be done, but the house itself is done.  WOOHOO!!!!!  And an extra bonus...  I took pictures!  Aren't yall proud???  So yall better enjoy them... ;0P

I would edit and caption each picture but my computer is wayyyyy too slow to wait for 22 pictures to load and then add a caption to.  So if the room is blue, it's Jon Kent's room.  If it's pink it's Zoey's.  If it's green it's the master bedroom.  If it's off white it's the living room, dining room, kitchen, and/or the bathroom.  And the picture of the tuxedo color (grayish blue) is the color of the front and back door.

Bad updater

I know I have been bad about not updating lately.  But there just hasn't seemed to have been enough time in my day to do much.  The O____ household finally seems to be healing up from our week of sickness.  Boy, do I never want to do that again.  That sucked royally.  We still have the coughs, but other than that we are all doing pretty well.  Hopefully we will stay that way too!

Updates on the house go like this...  We are one project away from having the house completed.  They are up there today painting the foundation and the exterior doors.  All they have to do now is fix our yard and lay down some hay and it is done.  FINISHED!  WOOHOO!!  I know I have been really bad about not taking pictures.  But my battery is dead and I need to recharge it and I keep forgetting.  So I will have to do that soon.  Before we move in.  That way I can do before, during and after pictures.  Kent said that he hopes to be in by this time next week.  That is exciting stuff.  If only we can get the people to put their butts in gear.  We also have to wait to close on the house before we can move any of our stuff in there.  Because it's not technically ours until we close.  Bah hum bug to them....

Well, I'm off to find something to do...  Probably pack some things up or take a bath and actually *gasp* shave my legs...

Germs Be Gone!

Well, things here have been interesting.  After being sick for almost a week, I seem to finally be on the mend.  Although I thought that about 2 or 3 days ago and relapse BAD.  Last night I was so worn down that I really didn't know how I was going to take care of Zoey when she got up for her nightly feeding.  It was bad.  And to top it off Kent has what I have been having except he is about two days behind me.  So I know at this point he really doesn't feel good.  Zoey is still hanging on to her cough.  She can breathe a lot better but all that junk is breaking up and when she coughs her whole body just rattles.  I know though she is feeling better.  Hopefully the cough will be gone soon.  Jon Kent seems to be dealing with the germs well.  He so far hasn't gotten sick.  He has coughed a little here and there, but so far nothing major.  I am praying he doesn't either.  I'll be glad when all these germs are gone.  They have really hit my family hard.  We have had our turn...move on please!

In house news...  The clean up crew came in today and cleaned the house.  Vacuumed, cleaned windows, cabinets, showers, floors, etc.  They did a pretty good job.  I will still have a few things to clean myself, but for the most part they took care of everything.  Which is nice.  Kent seems to believe that we will be in no later than 10 days from now.  I really do hope so.  Although I am not looking forward to all the packing up and moving.  But still, it will be nice to be in a bigger place.  One where we don't have to pile things up in.  We can actually space all our things out.  So nice...

Flu Knew

Like my spin on words???  Even sick I can have a sense of humor.

Kent was sick last weekend with a stomach virus.  He had a fever and his whole body just ached.  Well, Thursday night I noticed that Zoey was feeling really hot.  Took her temp and it was 102.5.  So I call the ped and he sent us to the ER.  So off to Children's we go.  By the time we got there her temp was at almost 103.  They tested her for anything and everything and nothing came back bad.  They just said she had some sort of virus and to just treat the fever with Tylenol and keep her comfortable.  They also told us to follow up her visit to the ER with a doctor's appt for the next afternoon.  Meanwhile, I started coughing while at the ER.  Thought nothing of it because I have had a cold for weeks.  Anyway, Friday morning I get up and feel like I had been hit by a truck.  By the time Zoey's doctor's appt rolled around I felt like crap.  Kent couldn't take off of work because he was out of sick days from when he was sick last weekend.  Everything at the doc's was good.  She still had a fever and he just said to give her Tylenol.  Well last night my parent's kept JK for me so that I could just take care of Zoey and myself.  I started running a fever of 102 and was aching all over.  I am pretty sure Zoey felt the same way as she cried for almost 2 solid hours.  By the time Kent got off of work (midnight) I was done.  He took care of Zoey as much as he could since she is BF'ing still.  She slept finally from 2am-6am.  Which is a lot better than it was.  She was only sleeping about 2 hours at a time.  Today her fever seems to be gone and mine is just a low grade one.  My body still aches and I have had a major headache, but other than that we are doing better.  Hopefully by Monday all this will be a distant memory.  Anyway, that's my update.

Things

I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day.

The house progress has been all but halted.  The plumbers are coming out on the 20th to finish everything up.  Then we have to wait for some person from the government to come out and look the house over.  Reason being is because the loan we got is a government loan and they have to have on of their people come out and make sure everything was done up to code.  There's no real telling as to how long it will take them to come out and do everything.  Our sales man told us that we would for sure be in by the first of March.  This is the same sales man who told us we would be in by the middle of January.  So I'm still not holding my breath.  It's frustrating because I just want to move and get out of this house.  It's driving me crazy cleaning it over and over and over again and trying to find a place for everything.  Two more weeks I guess...

Well, I am off.  I've got a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it in.  Later all.

Poor Kent

Kent is really sick and I mean really.  Running a fever, severe stomach aches, and he just looks plain rough.  Poor guy.  He went to the doctor and he has some sort of stomach virus and GI is flared back up pretty badly.  So with all that, I just tried to keep the kids out of the house today so he could rest.  We are currently spending the night at my parent's so that he could have the whole night to rest and not have the babies waking him up during the night.  I hope he feels better tomorrow.  I really do hate to see him sick.

Yup it was the carpet people!

The carpet people where there today!!  They put the vinyl down today and are going to put the carpet down tomorrow!  WOOT-WOOT!!  I am sooo excited.  It is really getting closer now!!

Also, we got the paper work from the loan company today.  We have to sign on all the X's and send it back in so all the paper work will be ready for when we close.

It's starting to become more real now.  I need to start packing up some things and weed out a lot of stuff that we just don't need.  There's a lot to do before we move in and I'm looking forward to getting it done and settling down in our new cozy home!

Gutters and maybe carpet

Well, the gutters are up and we think they are putting the carpet in.  We haven't gone up there yet to check it all out.  I can't wait to see what else they are doing!  YAY!!!!

Wednesday

Monday Zoey had a doctor appointment.  She weighted 13lbs 8oz and was 23 inches long.  She also had to get 4 shots.  I seriously hate shots.  She was pretty cranky afterwards too.  And stayed that way until last night.  So far today she has been pretty happy.  She just went down for her first nap of the day.  We go back in April for her 4 month check-up.

Monday was a pretty miserable day anyway.  It rained all day long and it was a cold rain.  It was supposed to snow but the temp just didn't go low enough.  It's never cold enough...

We'll just skip Tuesday for now.  Lots of exciting stuff happened, but can't reveal it all just yet.  But I'll update when I can!

The house is slowly inching it's way to completion.  We have a heat pump unit and all the duct work is done.  Carpet, gutters, plumbing, and touch up paint is all we got.  Then we have to go through all the closing stuff and legal things.  Hopefully we will be in soon....

Well, I guess that it is for now.  Enjoy the pictures and I will talk with yall later!

JON KENT

It's only fair to show off my little man.  He needs his time to shine too.  Here are some pictures that I took while we were waiting on my parents to come over for the night.  The Wiggles are on the TV and he is dancing.  It was so cute.  He absolutely LOVES the Wiggles.  I hope they come near our town soon and do a concert.  I would love to take Jon Kent and see how he reacts.  He loves the song "Hot Potato".  If he keeps this up we won't have to work hard trying to find a "theme" for his 2nd birthday party.  Just get anything and everything "Wiggles".

ZOEY!!!

Here are some more pictures of Zoey today.  I figured that one earlier just wasn't enough.  Yall enjoy!!

Zoey & House Pictures

They have done some more to the house.  They installed the garage door and put up the bathroom towel rods and toilet paper holder.  They also put the nobs on all the doors inside the house.  I threw in a picture of Zoey that I took today as well.  She was 2 months old yesterday.  Enjoy!
