Part Two of OLD NAVY

Well it looks like I won't have any tan lines this summer.  Why you may ask.  Because I won't be wearing any clothes.  I tried yet again to order from lovely OLD NAVY *sarcasm* and they are still only taking one $50 off my purchase.  So, I emailed them a complaint and I am hoping they will respond and let me know what I need to do.  Because quite frankly I am tried of looking at their clothes only to try and purchase them and not be able to.  Stupid online shopping...

I digress...

It was supposed to rain all day here.  But the weatherman was wrong.  Good thing their bosses don't pay them for being right.  All it did was cloud up and look like it was going to start pouring down raining all day.  They say "tomorrow there will be 100% chance of rain".  I'll believe it when I see it.  I am patiently waiting for it to quit raining so I can plant my flowers that I FINALLY got.  We have the flower bed all dug up and fertilized, now we just have to plant the flowers.  But they are predicting rain all week.  *sigh*

Well, I am off to bed.  It's almost midnight so that means I have roughly 1-3 hours before I need to get up with Jon Kent for his night feeding.  Hopefully he will go back to sleep quickly.  Lately he likes to rub his hands all over my face.  I pretend I am asleep but when I open my eyes to see if he got the hint, he will just get this big grin on his face.  But son is one cute kid, let me tell ya!!  Anyway...  Yall have a good night!

OLD NAVY is offically on my hit list!

OK, first of all my momma and daddy got me some OLD NAVY gift cards for my birthday.  They come in $50 per card.  So I get online and start shopping, because there isn't an OLD NAVY near me that sells maternity clothes.  Anywho, I get on there and I spend more than $50.  So I enter one card in and it takes $50 off my total.  So far so good...  Then I enter another card and it won't take the other $50 off!  WHAT!?!?!  So I figured they just do one card per purchase (which makes no sense, but whatever).  So I go back and shorten my order so it would be below $50.  So I redo the ordering process and it takes the $50 off.  So far so good... but there is like 44 cents left and I am like I'll just put it on the credit card and finish my order.  So that's what I do...  Guess what...  OLD NAVY is "currently unable to process gift cards at this time".  WHAT!!!  Are you kidding me!?!?!?  So I have had it.  If you see a big ole pregnant lady walking around with no clothes, it's me.  And to file a complaint...just write to OLD NAVY!  I'm sure they would get a kick out of that!

Just sharing

Just thought I would share some pictures of my little man.  It seems like he learns something new everyday.  For an update on him: We went to the doctor Thursday and had his 6th month check-up.  He had 3 shots and they had to draw blood to make sure he doesn't have lead poisioning, since we live in an older home.  He weighs 20.2lbs and is 27 inches long.  He is growing well.  In the top 90% of his age group!  I also had a doctor's appointment Thursday.  We got to hear the heartbeat.  It was so weird because this baby's heartbeat seems to be so much slower than Jon Kent's was.  Anyway, I lost 4lbs and my blood pressure, finger prick, and urine test all came back fine.  I go back at the end of June.  And sometime in July we will be finding out what we are having!  YAY!

The Bargain of a Lifetime

My hubby will be pleased to see that I am finally telling yall about his "bargain".

Yesterday we ordered some pizza for lunch at Domino's.  It was like 12:15pm when we placed our order and we asked for delivery.  Well, 1:15pm rolls around and they still aren't there.  Well Kent calls and asked them what was up.  They said that they had like 7 or 8 orders ahead of us.  So it was going to be awhile until they could deliver it.  So the lady asked Kent if he would just like to come and get it.  Kent said "yeah I guess but how much are you going to charge me now since I am coming to get it?".  The original price was like $20 something.  The lady said that she would just charge us $10.  Now this was for cinni-stixs and 2 medium pizzas (they might have been large, but I don't remember).  So that was a good deal to begin with.  But does it end there, no!  So Kent goes and picks up the pizzas and the lady says for all the trouble that she would throw in 2 more large pizzas.  She even tried to give Kent some 2 liter cokes but he said he didn't want them.  So we got 2 medium pizzas, 2 large pizzas, and cinni-stixs for...:::drum roll please::: $10!  Kent was quite proud of his acheivement and I will have to say that it was a good deal.  Way to go sweetie!!

Just thought I would update

I know that it's been awhile since I have posted an update.  There really hasn't been that much going on around here honestly.  We took Jon Kent to the park again Thursday but it was so hot that we didn't stay all that long.  It was way too hot to be out in the park.  So we drove around thinking that the schools had let out (which they haven't) hoping that they would have and we could play on their playgrounds.  Because honestly our public park stinks.  It doesn't have that much to really do.  But there is this one school playground in town that is soooo neat.  And then another school just got a new playground so we went to check both out.  But there were kids playing on them so we figured that school wasn't out yet.  And in fact, schools around here won't let out until the end of next week.  I swear though that schools are letting out later and later.  It's ridiculous.  I mean if they are going to let them out so late and bring them back so early than go ahead and do year round school.  GEESH!!!  Anyway, my point to that ramble was that we didn't go play on the other playgrounds.  We just went home instead.

I did lay out some this week.  TRYING to get some color on my legs, arms, and face.  But it doesn't seem like I am.  Grrrr!  But slowly but surely I guess I will.  I need to get a new bathing suit for the summer.  But I am waiting on my belly to get a bit bigger before I go and try to find a new preggo bathing suit.  So far (knock on wood) I haven't really "looked" pregnant.  Which my doctor said by the middle of May I should be showing...and well I'm not.  Which in away doesn't surprise me because I haven't been able to eat NEAR as much as I used to be able to.  With Jon Kent I could eat anything and everything that I saw.  NOT with this one!

Speaking of the baby, I have an appointment for the 26th of this month to go for a check up.  We are supposed to be able to "hear" the heartbeat for the first time at this appointment.  We have already seen it, but haven't heard it yet.  So hopefully everything will be good and we will be able to hear it.  I'll keep yall updated on how that goes.  Jon Kent also has appointment that day, but we are going to have to change it for another time because it is at the same time as my doctor's appointment.  It's a lot easier to change his than it is mine.  Plus, I don't think Jon Kent will mind so much...it's for his 6th month check-up...he gets shots.

Well, that is my update.  I have some clothes that need to be hung and some others that need to be washed and dried.  So I'll talk with yall later.  BYE!

My kid the TV junkie

Some days he likes TV, some days he doesn't.  Yesterday and today for the most part he has liked TV.  Or atleast the shows he WANTS to watch.  We figured out a couple of weeks ago that he loves "The Price is Right".  Especially the wheel.  You know where the 3 contestants from the first half of the show spin the wheel and the closest to a $1.00 wins.  And then the same goes for the second half of the show.  Anyway, he loves that part.  He also likes the part where they yell "Come on down!".  The games he doesn't really care about, but it's funny to watch him watch it.  Anyway, yesterday he was watching his Baby Einstein.  It's rare moments of peace for me.  Especially since he seems to really be teething.  He has the major drooling and even the running nose.  Not to mention he wakes up from a dead sleep SCREAMING his head off.  He did that last night and it took awhile for Kent to get him back to sleep.  I ended up giving him some Tylenol and some teething gel.  And that did the trick.  He slept in total from 9:45pm-8:45am.  He got up at like 12:30am screaming and then again at 5:30am to eat.  So not a bad night in total.  Anyway, yall enjoy the pictures and let me know what yall think about my TV junkie!!

Green beans and Swings

Yesterday I restarted feeding Jon Kent solids.  I had to stop there for awhile because frankly it made me gag.  And I don't think Jon Kent would appreciate me throwing up on his high chair.  So anyway, yesterday we gave him green beans.  And let me tell you...he LOVED them.  Every time I would give him a spoonful he would want more the instant the spoon was empty.  I was really worried about it because it looked totally gross to me and didn't smell all that great either.  *GAG*  So anyway, he will be having green beans for the next few days and then we will move on to another veggie.  He has had all his fruits except peaches and prunes.  Which we bought today as well.  I am NOT looking forward to the prunes.  But we must try and see.  I am hoping he doesn't like them...lol.

Today we went to Wal-Mart and bought groceries.  We also went to see if we could find a swing for Jon Kent that we could hang outside.  We found one and he can use it until he is 4 years old.  So that will be good.  But I am fairly sure by that time we will have some sort of swing set.  But it will be good for the baby(ies) to come.  I can't wait until we try it out.  I will have to take some pictures and show yall as soon as we get it all set up.

Well, that is all for now.  I'll talk with yall later!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday toooo meeeee, Happy Birthday to me!!!  Oh yeah, I'm the BIG 22.  I am soooo old!  LOL!  Anywho, Jon Kent decided that for my birthday, he wanted to take me to the park.  So of course I had to go!  It was a really good time.  Here are some pictures to document our trip to the park.

Add it to the list!

Jon Kent had another first today.  And it was with me, AGAIN!!  Woohoo!  Anyway, Kent and I had Jon Kent sitting in the floor and he was playing with the remote (he loves that thing, a true American boy) and I started calling his name.  I honestly didn't think he would recognize his name.  But as soon as I got it out a couple of times, he turned to look at me like "what do you want?".  I thought maybe he was just turning at the sound, but I did it again and again and he kept doing it.  But when I would say something else he wouldn't turn to look at me.  Then Kent called at him and Jon Kent turned to look at him.  So it has to be real!  Then Kent took Jon Kent to see his Great Granny and Great PawPaw and they both called for him too and he turned to look at them as well.  So I put it down as one of his firsts in his baby book.  My little guy is really growing up.  It's rather sad if I think about it too long.  But at the same time it's starting to get fun.  He can interact with us fairly well and he hardly ever cries anymore.  All we get now are grins and laughs.  Anyway, I am just a proud momma right now!

Parental Discretion is Advised

Here are some pictures that were taken today.  The last two are a riot!!  Kent is the one who "discovered" it.  So you can blame him for the pictures.  Anyway, yall enjoy!!  ENLARGE FOR BETTER VIEWING!!

Some pictures from today

Here are some random pictures that Kent and I took today.  Don't pay any attention to me...pregnancy makes me absolutely not care about getting all dolled up.  So just ignore me and look at Jon Kent...lol.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies in J-land and in the real world!!  Today is my first Mother's Day and I must admit...it's almost as exciting as my birthday (which is in 5 days!).  Kent was a VERY good husband today.  He woke up and fixed me breakfast.  Then Jon Kent and him gave me cards and a beautiful necklace.  I'll have to take a picture of it and show yall.  It is so pretty!  Anyway, I must say that today has been a good day.  We have just gotten back from church and our on our way to eat lunch with Kent's side of the family.  Hopefully it will be fun.  Well, that is all for now.  Have a great day!!

1/4 of the way there

I hit the 10 week mark today in my pregnancy.  The BIG 1-0.  LOL.  Only 30 more weeks to go.  Only 3 more weeks to go until I am into my 2nd trimester.  In a way, it's going by faster this time.  I guess it's because I don't think about it as much because I have Jon Kent to keep me busy.  Which is a good thing.  That was the worst part of my last pregnancy, was feeling like the week would never end.  And that my doctor's appointments seems like an eternity away.  Hopefully, things will keep going quickly.  And before I know it, it will be November again.

Not much to really talk about.  Just hanging around the house.  Tonight is Kent's last night to work for this week.  Then he has two days off.  Woohoo!  The nights seem longer when he is at work.  Plus, I hate being at home by myself at night.  Yes, I am still afraid of the dark, to a point.  =P  Oh well.  There's not much that I can do about it.  I seriously doubt the federal government gives a rip about what I think.

Well, I am gone.  My tummy is growling...so that means I'm hungry...DUH!  Now the task of finding something that I ACTUALLY WANT to eat.  Later yall!

He sat up alone!

Today I was sitting in the floor infront of the front door and Jon Kent was infront of me.  We were watching all the cars and RVs leaving from the race.  Jon Kent LOVES watching cars.  Anyway, I decided to see if he would sit up alone.  So I let him go.  Sure enough he did.  He even leaned forward and than sat himself back up.  He is still a bit unbalanced but for the most part I think he is getting the hang of it.  I was really proud.  Seeing how he seems to do all his firsts for EVERYONE except me!  =(  So I am certainly soaking this first in and enjoying telling EVERYONE that he sat up for ME first!!
