I think I just might lose my lunch

And the punches just keep on comin'..  I swear I feel like all I do is complain and gripe.  But if we ALL could just ever be HEALTHY all at the same time.. then I guess I wouldn't have anything to complain about.  Anyway, the kids both still have runny noses and a cough.  But those aren't that bad anymore.  I'm thankful we didn't have to make a trip to the doctor's office for those because we got a bill in the mail for the last series of trips for Jon Kent and it was $170 that the insurance didn't cover.  So yeah, that's fun.  But now Kent is sick and I mean sick.  I think the current total for pukes is at 7 for the moment.  He looks horrible too and sounds even worse.  Poor thing.  I don't know what to do for him.  Hopefully he will be done and get some sleep tonight.  And hopefully he will wake up feeling better tomorrow.  Here's hoping anyways.

Speaking of tomorrow.. the weather here is going to be perfect.  High is supposed to be like 75 and beautiful.  The weather here since Sunday has been awesome!!  I love this kind of weather.  Not too hot, not too cold.  Perfect for getting the kids out and just spending time together!  Kent was supposed to play golf with a co-worker of his but I don't know if they will tomorrow or not.  I guess it just depends on how Kent feels.

I need to finish up my consignment stuff with the kids' clothes.  They are due in on Thursday.  I had 5 big rubbermaid boxes of the kids' clothes to sort and go through, price and hang.  I have one more box to go through and then some odds and ends to tie up before being completely done.  My house work has been the pits since doing this consignment mess.  It's pointless to clean when you're only going to get things messed up again so I'm waiting until I'm done and then I'll give the house a good cleaning.. not to mention it will need it to get rid of all the little germs that have invaded our house recently.

Well, I'm gonna go.  Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight..

'Weekly' update

Wow, it's been a week since my last update!  Things have been slow around here.  We just go about our routines day after day.  Nothing exciting really happening.  The weather here has been getting better.  It was really cold for about 2 weeks or so.  Now it's starting to warm up a bit.  I'll be glad when it does warm up and stays that way.  Maybe we can get out of the house a little more.  I'm driving myself crazy trying to think of new things for the kids to do.  Day after day after day we do the same things.  It becomes a drag after awhile.

Speaking of drags..  I was at 126 pounds come Christmas and have since gained 9 pounds back.  Bleh.  Now I'm trying to take those pounds back off and tone my muscles back up.  It's so hard though to get motivated to work out again.  Kent and I were in a good routine of working out 3 days a week.  But we got out of it and now it's hard to really jump back in.

Kent and a bunch of the men from our church are going to a men's conference this weekend.  They are staying overnight Friday and coming back Saturday.  I'm going to miss Kent but I have plans with my momma so I won't be lonely.  I don't know what we are actually going to do though..

In May Kent may have some training in D.C to go to for his job.  I may tag along for the trip.  The kids will stay here though, so that's going to be something new.  They'll be fine for the week and it will be good to have some alone time with the hubby.  But I know by that 2nd night I will be missing them like crazy.  So we'll just have to see how things go.  We're not sure he is going yet or not or if I'm even going.

We have a vacation planned as a family (my parents, brother, sister-in-law, nephew and us) in June.  We are heading to the beach!  I am really looking forward to it!  I hope everything pans out and we can all go.  You never know if something might come up and someone not get to go.  But I'm really hoping we all do get that week off to go.  I think we will have a good time.

Well, there's my update.  Maybe it won't take me a week to update again.

Happy Heart Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!  I hope everyone feels VERY loved today!

We have already exchanged gifts around here.  Kent got some golf thingy (to try and describe it would only confuse you, lol) and I got a pretty necklace, a dozen roses and a card.  Jon Kent got a set of plastic golf clubs and James (from the trains on Thomas and Friends) and Zoey got an Elmo that sings "I love you very much..".

We aren't going to actually celebrate the day today.  The kids are staying with my parents this Saturday so Kent and I can go on a date.  Kent has made all the plans and I am to just go along for the ride.  I'm looking forward to it.

It is seriously cold today.  Well.. I say that as a southerner so if you live up north you may not think it's cold here.  But it's cold.. lol.  And the wind is blowing pretty hard so that just makes it worse.  It's also snowing flurries.  A little has stuck on the cars but it's not going to amount to much.  It's crazy weather around here that is for sure.  Last night was tornados and today it's snow.  That's the south for ya though.

Well, I am off to spend the day with my family.. my true Valentines!  Talk with yall later!

Have yall missed me?

I'll take from the silence yall haven't.. ;o)

Sorry for the lack of updating lately.  We have been some what busy with doctor appointments and such.  Plus, when I have time to play online I mainly just go to my MySpace and play around over there.  By the way, if you have a myspace and aren't one of my friends let me know!!

Jon Kent's wheezing is gone for the time being.  We had a recheck today with the doctor and she listened to his lungs and said they sounded great.  She still wants us to keep him on 2 breathing treatments a day for at least the rest of this week.  She said when the weather changes so drastically that it has a huge effect on kids with wheezing problems.  So we have to keep an eye on that.  Also, she said that since he does cough and wheeze from time to time after playing that we will also have to keep our eyes open for possible asthma.  She said though for now she wasn't going to put him on any inhalers for it because it hasn't been a huge problem yet.  But if it does become one then we will know what to do.  His ears also looked good from his last infection.  So that was good to hear as well.

Zoey is doing great.  Her eyes are all cleared up from having what I had about 2 weeks ago.  It took her a bit longer to get rid of it though.  About 4 days verus my 2 day battle with it.  All the runny noses are gone as of now as well.  So we are all healthy... except...

Kent has a pretty bad cough.  It mostly flares up at night time when he is trying to sleep.  He had a pretty bad spell with it last night.  I don't know if he slept through it or not, but I sure didn't.  I hope he starts feeling better from it soon.  Both of our throats are pretty sore.  Hopefully that goes away soon too.

Well, I am off to clean up the house a bit and take a shower.  I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day in two days!!!!

From one eye to another

My eye is a lot better now.  The antibiotics that I was on for my sore throat have also taken care of my eye.  And thank goodness for that.  It was getting pretty ugly.  I felt like one ugly little duckling.. let me tell ya.  But it's almost back to normal.  It's just a little bit red.

The kids however have gotten sick.  I actually took them to the doctor yesterday and the doctor gave them both the once over.  Zoey just has a regular common cold.  Jon Kent, however, is a bit more complicated.  The doctor heard some wheezing in his lungs and sent us for a chest x-ray.  It came back clear, thankfully, and he was put on breathing treatments every 4-6 hours.  We did a treatment in the office and she said his lungs sounded instantly better.  So she just sent us home with the pump treatments instead of the 6-7 minute ones.  The pump is an attachment to an asthma type inhaler.  You pump it and they breathe it in through a mask for 6 breaths.  Then wait 30 seconds and do it again.  Jon Kent doesn't care for it but he isn't putting up much of a fight about it anymore.  Anyway, over the night last night Jon Kent started running a fever.  It got as high as 103 before I put a call into his doctor's office this morning.  After playing phone tag and giving me the run around we finally got an appointment for this afternoon to have him rechecked since he did spike a fever.  So we went in and Jon Kent got checked again.  His wheezing was a little worse so he got another treatment in office.  Once again it was better.  So the doctor put Jon Kent on an oral steroid.  To help clear his lungs along with his breathing treatments.  He also noticed an ear infection so he put him on a round of antibiotic for that.  So we come home and get everyone settled for the night.  I start noticing that Jon Kent's eye is runny.  And I get to looking at it and it looks just like mine did before it started swelling up.  So we are keeping an eye on that.  But the antibiotic that he is on now should over that base as well.  -Whew-  We have really been through it lately.  Please say a prayer for us.  I am ready to be over all of this and back to being healthy.  It seems like we have a bout with something every 6 weeks or so.  I'm ready forsummer to get here so we can get outdoors and not be coupe up in the house sharing each other's germs!  Anyway, that's it from my corner of the world.  Talk with yall later!

I's a pirate.. I is!

Me hearty!  Anyway, Saturday my throat started hurting.  I figured it was just a dry throat and I would be over it.  Well, yesterday I go to the doctor..  I have swollen glands and congestion.  Thankfully it's all just in my head (phsycially not mentally..lol) and not in my chest.  BUT I got home from the doctor and my left eye started 'running'.  It's like that eye was crying and my other wasn't.  Then it started swelling and swelling and swelling.  I laid down yesterday evening for about 10 minutes and when I tried to open my eye it was matted shut!  What the crap?  I have NEVER, EVER had something like this happen.. EVER!  I'm assuming it's a cold in my eye.  But come on.. is all this necessary?  It looks like Kent just hauled off and socked me a good one!  It was just barely opened when I woke up this morning.  I am keeping a warm wash cloth handy and cleaning it frequently.  I'm on a round of antibiotic for the swollen glands, so I am hoping it will knock this thing out too.  I feel like a pirate with my one eye self..

I can not believe it is February already!  Although now that I think about it January did go by slow.  We have a lot going on in Feb.  We have numerous appointments and birthdays.  And let's not forget Valentine's Day!  I'm looking forward to it just because it means a date night!

Jon Kent is back to his baby ways.  He does not want to sleep in his bed.. period.  He doesn't want to go to sleep in there and he doesn't want to stay in there once he goes to sleep and wakes back up.  For the past 2-3 weeks he has been in our bed.  And for the most part I don't mind, but some nights are horrible with little sleep and lots of kicks in the back and stomach.  I have no idea why he has started doing this.  He was sleeping straight through the night.  And he had been doing that for about 7-8 months now.  I just don't get it.  And we were going to try and play 'tough parents' and try and get him to stay in his bed.  But he has this same cold that I do and it's just hard to be 'tough' when he is sick.  Once we kick this cold we are going to get back into our routine!

Zoey is sick too.  Once one of us gets it we all get it, except Kent.  I have been sick more the past year then I think I have in the past 10 years.  Every month we are battling a cold or a fever or something.  It's starting to wear on me, if I'm to be honest.  Anyway, Zoey is down to one nursing during a 24 hr. period.  It's the one right before bedtime.  I am sure it will disappear soon.  Then we will be done.  Zoey will be 14 months tomorrow so I think we did great with our nursing!

Well, I need to go.  The yougins are done with their breakfasts!  Talk with yall later!
