BB5: Project DNA (Do Not Assume)

Pictures courtesy of CBS.com

I don't know if anyone else watches BB5 (Big Brother 5).  Surely there are others!  Anyway, the season for me started out rather slow and not very interesting.  But the more I watched the more I just had to see what happened next.  During the first few shows, two people found out they were brother and sister.  They had the same dad, but not the same mothers.  They never knew the other exsisted until the show started.  And the other twist is there are twins in the house.  Adria (who is from Alabama...you go girl) has a twin in the house also.  They swap places every day or so.  NONE of the other "houseguests" know of the swapping either.  It's been a really good show!  It comes on tonight at 9/8pm central.  If you haven't seen the show yet, the go to CBS.COM and get filled in.  They have a recap of all the shows AND you can get to know the houseguests and the ones who have already be evicted.  Plus, you can get a feel of the game and all the rules!  Yall enjoy!

The LAST day of July!

I can't believe that it is the last day of July!  It seems like only yesterday that July was just starting.  Where did all the time go???  Well, I'm not complaining.  It put me one month closer to November.  But after November comes and the baby gets here then time can go S-L-O-W-L-Y again.  I can't have my little boy growing up too fast on me!!  I guess the reason July went by so quickly was it was packed FULL of stuff to do.  I had July 4th "gatherings" to go to, Ultrasounds to go to (IT'S A BOY!), birthdays to shop for, vacations to go on, and "baby things" to take care of.  It was definately a busy month.  Hopefully, August can go by just as quickly and September can get here...I'm ready to go back to the beach!

My day today is hopefully going to be a busy one.  As soon as I quit being lazy and get off this computer.  I plan on washing clothes, cleaning the house up a bit, cooking supper, and spending time with Kent.  I don't know how much cleaning I am going to do.  But I am in the mood to clean so I guess while I am in the mood I will just clean and then when I get out of the mood I will stop.  We'll see how far I get!  So...it's off to start my day!  Yall be good and have a happy last day of July!

My BUSY Friday!

Whew...what a day!  It started at 5:45am...  I was starting to think that I didn't have a 5:45am on my clock anymore...WRONG!  Surprisingly, it wasn't that hard to get up and get going.  I knew that I had places to be so I just sucked it up and took a shower.  At 7:00am Kent and I picked up Granny and Pops (his grandparents) and headed to Seth's (Kent's brother) state swim meet.  This was Seth's first time to make it to State so we all had to go watch.  He swam 50 yard breast and 50 yard freestyle.  He came in 8th in the state in breast and we "think" 9th in freestyle in the whole state.  We left before we found out his offical placement in freestyle.  After sitting in the HOT sun all day, we were ready to head back home, but we had to stop by the hospital first because Kent's cousin Chris and his wife were having a baby.  Well, they have been trying to have the baby since Wednesday but for whatever the reasons she only dialated to a 4 so they had to take the baby by c-section.  She was really upset that she had to have to the baby that way and honestly if I were her, I would have been upset too!  Anyway, about 45 minutes after they took her into surgery, they brought the baby up and she is so pretty!  We got to watch the nurses and doctor give her the once over and check everything out.  She wouldn't cry for them.  They jiggled her and poked her and she just wouldn't cry.  It was so funny!  She was ready though for her moma to get back because she kept putting her fist in her mouth.  She was HUNGRY!  But it was still going to be another hour or so before Courtney would be out of surgery and recovery.  So, we stayed for a bit but we were all ready to go home.  I hope they both are doing well and get to come home soon!  After the trip to the hospital, we came home and I took a short nap.  Then we mainly just watched TV.  Kent is already in the bed (he went to sleep at 9:30pm).  So, I am here by myself....talking to yall.  After seeing that baby, it made me want Jon Kent to hurry up and get here.  November seems sooooo far away!  But I guess I will just have to wait.  He isn't quite done cooking yet!  Anyway, that is all I have for now!  I'll talk with yall later!  Yall be good!

*Some Random Thoughts*

Nothing to really talk about today.  It's still early in the day though, so anything could happen.  Kent and I are going to go watch "Spiderman 2" around 2 o'clock.  And then I have no idea what the plans will be.

So, I've got some random thoughts for yall today.  Why do some women sleep with make-up on?  I mean who are you trying to impress while you are sleeping?  Do you think your house will catch fire and you want to look good for the firemen?  And have you ever noticed like in the movies or on TV shows that the women always go to bed with full blown make-up on?  What is up with that?  I couldn't stand the thought of going to bed with my make-up still on.  It's almost like going to bed dirty.  It just doesn't make sense!  But that is just my opinion...

Have yall noticed (unless I am mistaken, which is always a possibility) that we haven't had a tropical storm or hurricane form in the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico?  It's almost August!  Usually we have had atleast3 or 4 by now.  Not that I am complaining about it by any means, but its just odd.

In J-land (AOL journals) they are celebrating the one year anniversary of AOL Journals.  Woohoo!  I haven't really gotten into it or anything this year.  I have gotten several emails from people here and there about my journal since it was on AOL Editors Top 5 at one point....and not since... ****Hint to the AOL Journal Editors****  But I have been busy with vacations and doctor's appointments to really get involved....<<hangs head in shame>>  But I digress...

School is starting soon.  Not for me...but for those who are still in school.  My daddy is a teacher in GA and the teachers started back July 27th.  I believe the kids go back Aug. 2nd.  That is crazy!  Where did the summer go???  I know here in my hometown school is starting back the 9th of August.  They don't leave much time for summer these days!  It does however, put me one month closer to November...so it's "all good".<<<haven't used that phrase in a while!

So, I guess I will end my random thoughts here.  I need to go get ready to go to the movies.  By the way, ****hint to Kent****  as soon as he downloads the software on the computer, I'll scan some of the pictures I took while we were in Florida.  AND I have new belly pictures of myself...but by the time they get posted they will be OLD belly pictures.  Oh well...so until next time...yall be good!

Coupon Crazy!

I'm going coupon crazy!  I am signing up for any and every baby website that sends out coupons or free samples of their products.  I have been to Pampers.com, Gerber.com, Verybestbaby.com, Enfamil.com, and many other websites that have free samples and coupons.  I am trying to get all the diaper coupons that I can so I can start buying diapers now and have a "supply" ready for when the baby gets here.  A lot of people have said to wait on buying diapers because you don't know if the baby will like them or not.  But if the diapers are unopened, you can still take them back and exchange them for other diapers.  Atleast Wal-Mart does.  Plus, no one knows what the baby will like...it's just going to be a trial and error kind of thing for a few weeks.  I'm really getting excited though with all the preparations that are starting to take place for the baby.  I have been working on a Shower Invite list.  I asked Kent's mom and granny to make a list of people to invite and I need to ask my moma to get a list together as well.  I don't know who exactly is giving me a shower or when.  I have had 2 people mention it to me, but no plans have been really discussed!  I'm  wanting to have all my showers DONE by the middle of October.  That way I have a month to get things organized and ready for Jon Kent!

Today....I.....cleaned....SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!  Yes, I know I am supposed to be "resting".  But it just finally got to me.  I needed to do something.  And the cleaning wasn't anything heavy and it only took me like 20 minutes to do it all.  All I have to do now is vacuum and I might leave that for Kent to do when he gets home.  But then again I may go ahead and do it because today is Kent's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!) and I would really feel bad if I asked him to vacuum on his birthday.  But we'll see.

Well, I'm off to do something...probably vacuum....and then lay around for a bit and take a shower.  IF Kent doesn't get ordered overtime (which is likely) then we are going out to eat with my parents tonight for Kent's birthday.  Then we will probably make our rounds with his family so they can wish him a happy birthday and all that good stuff.  Tomorrow and Friday Kent is off of work!  Woohoo!!!!  So, that is all for now!  Yall be good!

Nothing to do....

I'm bored.  There isn't anything to do and if there WAS anything to do I have already been warned TWICE by my sweet and loving husband to "stay off your feet."  It really does make me feel special though that he is looking out for me and the baby.  He has been really sweet.  Last night he finished washing and drying the clothes, he ironed his uniform himself, he washed dishes, and cleaned up the mess we made after supper.  He is truly a sweet heart.  While he did all that I laid on the couch and caught up on the lastest edition of BabyTalk.  It has a lot of interesting articles in it.  Today, I have done nothing...expect stayed on-line looking at the same things over and over and over again.  I am looking for places to stay when we go to Florida again in Sept.  I am looking for a 3 or 4 bedroom atleast 3 bath condo.  There will be 8 of us going in all so we need the space.  Kent's mom is the one doing the reservations so for all I know she may have already made some, but Kent and I were looking at some last night that were pretty cheap.  Since we are going in the "low season" we can get rooms for a pretty good price.  I have tried calling my MIL but the phone is busy.  PLUS, I am pretty sure they are all outside working on their new deck for the pool.  I would hate to call and she be busy doing that and have to come in and listen to be tell her all about the stuff I have found.  Oh well...I guess I can just continue to look around and if by the next time I see her she hasn't made reservations, I can tell her about my findings.  I have also been to Pampers.com and registered for free coupons on baby supplies.  They should be here in 4 weeks.  I am really getting excited about all the things that need to be done for the baby.  I just want to go in the nursery and get started.  But alas...I can't....  Maybe after this week is up I can start on things in there and add my little motherly touches to everything.  PLUS, I need to start getting names and addresses for everyone who will be invited to my showers.  I guess I could do that now....  Well, enough with my boring entry about me doing nothing all day!  I'll talk with yall later!

My Day!

Well, it has been a day for me!  All day I NEVER felt Jon Kent move...which scared the holy poop out of because he has been VERY active.  So, I call the doc and talked to a nurse and she asks me what all I have done to try and get him to move.  So I tell her, I have ate sugar, laid down on my back, jiggled my belly...etc.  Well, she then says well you need to come up here and get checked out.  This was like 3:15pm so I call Kent at work and thankfully, he was able to get off and go with me.  So we go up there...which is an hour drive.  The nurse told me that if I don't get there by 5:00pm that I will have to go to L&D (labor and delivery).  So on our way we run into a HORRIBLE rain/thunderstorm.  But we get there and finally they check for his heartbeat.  It was 169!!!  I was like whoa...so the doctor comes in and practically scares the holy poop out of me again by saying....well there is a heartbeat but if there was something else to be wrong with him there isn't much that we could do right now because his chances of surviving outside the womb are pretty much zero.  UHHHH this I know...but come on...don't tell me that!!!  So he puts me on "rest" not bedrest but rest for a week and I go back the 3rd to just make sure things are OK.  Which is when my regular appointment is anyways.  I've gained 3 pounds also, so I have now gained 11 pounds in all.  THEN as we were LEAVING the hospital the little guy starts moving.  It made me feel so STUPID!  I was like I feel like a total goober now!  Anyway, there is my update....

I guess my vacation is over...

Well, I guess my vacation is over.  Technically, Kent's was over today because he had to go to work.  But I figured with it being Sunday and all that I would give MYSELF the day off (the perks of being a stay at homewife).  But by the time Kent got home from work I had cleaning on my mind.  I swear I have been cursed with some cleaning gene...who I got it from...I couldn't tell ya...but it's there.  So, I start cleaning the kitchen sink while supper is cooking, then the counters, then the stove...well somehow the windex flys out of the "cleaning cabinet" and sprays itself on the front door, so of course I have to clean it off...ON BOTH SIDES.  Well, if you windex the front door then you can't let all the mirrors in the house feel dirty and left out...so they got a good cleaning as well.  THEN of course the floors need sweeping...but I put a stop to it there.  I mean really...it was getting out of hand.  I guess I'll pick up the rest of the cleaning tomorrow....with washing all the clothes.  Am I nesting already!?!?!?!  PLUS, my dad built some pretty, pretty shelves to go in the baby's room...those need painting AND I bought some letters that spell JON KENT and those need painting as well.  LOOKS like I have a plate full....so I guess my vacation is over with huh!?!?  OH WELL...only 7ish weeks until Sept. and another trip to Florida and the BEACH!  WOOHOO!  Talk to yall later!

Lobster

"LOBSTER" aka "Me"  Or so I've been called.  Of course while on vacation I got a great tan.  I didn't burn or anything.  I was very careful to put on my sunblock and to not over do it when laying out.  I came home with a golden brown tan that anyone would be envious of!  Anywho, yesterday Kent went up to his parent's to help his dad build a deck that they are putting around their pool.  I figured while he did that I would float around in the pool and relax.  And that is just what I did.  I didn't think to put on sunblock because I was already so tanned that I didn't think I would really burn...WRONG!!!!  My face and arms are red...thankfully it's not too bad, but with all these commericals out that everytime you burn you increase your chances of getting skin cancer...it just makes you think.  But I guess I will have to cross that bridge when I come to it.  So anyway, last night Kent and I went to the funeral home (Kent's great aunt passed away) and I walk in and see Kent's mom, dad, brother, sister, and granny.  They all begin to laugh at the fact that I am burned...hahaha NOT FUNNY!  I just smiled and told them all to hush.  I just haven't gotten use to the fact that while pregnant my skin has become more sensitive to the sun.  Kent's daddy said that the baby will definately like the sun when he comes out.  So true...  Hopefully all this redness will turn brown in a day or two...here's hoping anyways!

Vacation: Day Five

We got up around 7:15am and ate some breakfast.  Since we were pretty much packed and ready to go, Kent and I just kinda walked around the hotel room doing odd and end things.  Kent (being the crazy person he is) was draining the cooler on the balcony instead of in the sink.  Someone from a lower floor started yelling up at us.  I told Kent to stop before they call someone to our room and we don't get our $150 deposit back.  He finished draining the cooler in the sink.  We then packed the car up and handed in our keys and took off to do a little shopping before heading home.  We went and got some t-shirts airbrushed.  Kent got one that had '04 airbrushed on the back of his t-shirt and it had an ocean scene in the '04.  I got one with 2 foot prints but they are wearing flip-flops and inside the feet it has a beach scene.  THEN we got a little oneise (is that how you spell it?) done for Jon Kent and it just has two little feet without flip-flops and a beach scene inside the feet.  I'll have to take some pictures of it.  After shopping we were back on the road.  We got home around 5:30pm.  We then unpacked and I started washing clothes.  That was our trip!  We had a great time and it was fun getting away for a bit.  We are making another trip to Panama City Beach the week of Labor Day...if all goes well between now and then.  We are staying for a week I believe.  It should be fun!  So, I guess that is it...hope yall enjoyed my stories!

                                                                  The End!

Vacation: Day Four

I would have to say that day four of our vacation has the most "small funny stories" of them all.  So, I will try and remember them all.  We got up around 8:30am and ate some breakfast.  We sat around the room for a bit and waited for the sunny to really start shining.  We all decided that today we would just hang around the hotel at the beach or the pool.  So we get the cooler packed with water, gatorade, and some coke.  We head down to the beach and rent some chairs.  Lesli and I laid out and talked while Kent and Jared played in the ocean and snorkled.  We watched people parasail and go jet skiing.  Being an active person, I really wanted to get out on a jet ski and just have fun or go parasailing...but Jon Kent disagreed...lol.  Maybe next year...  Anyway, around lunch time Kent and I went back up to the room and had some lunch.  On our way back down, we got on the elevator with a "boy" who was probably 15 or 16 years old.  He was the type of person that "tries to be funny" but really isn't.  Anyway, we start out on the 14th floor and by the 10th floor the elevator was packed.  So every floor from 10th to the 6th the "boy" would be like "sorry no room here...try again".  Well, it was funny the first time but by the 6th floor it was quite annoying.  Well, the doors close on the 6th floor and nothing happens.  We don't move.  WE ARE STUCK!!!!  The "funny boy" quickly turns to the purest shade of white and starts saying "try getting the doors open, try getting the doors open."  Well, we finally got the doors to open and he was gone quicker than a flash of lightening.  LOL!!!!!!  Once he got off the elevator started working again.  The rest of us happily rode to the 1st floor in peace.  The rest of the afternoon was just laying out and getting in and out of the ocean.  I got a great tan that day!  Around 4:30pm or so we went back to the room and got ready to go out for the night.  We went and ate at Captain Crabby's.  It was HORRIBLE to say the least!  The waitress spilt ranch dressing on Jared's plate then didn't get his salad order right.  She then gave Lesli spicy shrimp instead of plain and then when he brought Lesli the right shrimp she spilt the shrimp juice into Lesli's purse.  THEN when Kent went and paid for the bill for himself and me it was $40 and something but when she brought us the ticket back to sign it, it said $83!!!  I was like "WHAT!?!?!"  Well, then as we were leaving and practically in the parking lot the waitress runs after us and catches Lesli.  And asked if the service was bad or something because we left her a small tip.  Lesli told her yes the service was bad...the lady was SO RUDE.  She just threw up her hand and said "whatever!"  I was like we should go back in there and get the rest of that tip that we did give her!  Anyway, we then went and played putt-putt golf again but at a different place.  It took us like 2 1/2 hours to play the whole game.  It was so crowded there!  I didn't come in last that time.  Only 3rd!  We then went back to the hotel and on our way up to the room 3 guys got on the elevator and one of the guys was TOTALLY wasted.  The drunk guy's friend kept tapping him and making him hit the elevator door.  The drunk guy was like "yeah I've had a few...ok, ok...I'm drunk."  It was funny.  THEN everytime the elevator doors would open the drunk guy would get off and his buddies would have to pull him back on and tell him that it wasn't his floor.  By the time we got to our floor we were all laughing.  When we got back to the room we all played PASSWORD.  Proudly...Kent and I won.  We were proud.  We then went and started packing to head home the next day.  We called it a night around 1:00am.

Vacation: Day Three

First of all...I forgot to tell yall that on Day Two when we were at the beach, I spotted some guy with a professional camera taking pictures.  At first I thought he was taking them of his kids, because he was there with his wife and kids and another couple and their kids (yes, I'm nosey).  Anyway, I started watching him closer and realized he wasn't taking pictures of his kids but of women's butts.  I was like "You pervert!"  I told Lesli to look at him and see if she saw what I was seeing and sure enough she did.  I then told Kent and he was also seeing the same thing.  What was so sick about it was that most of the girls he was takings pictures of had to be no older than 16.  It was just sick!

On to day three....  We got up bright and early and got ready to rent our boat.  We left the room at like 7:15ish in the morning and stopped and got some ice for the cooler and headed on our way to the boat rental place.  We got there and signed all the papers and were on our way.  Kent and Jared had the map of how to get us to Shell Island.  So, we thought we would be there in no time....hahaha.  We "THOUGHT" we were in the right place to go diving for sand dollars.  Well, the water was REAL clear and we could tell we were getting into shallow water.  The water had a lot of "grass" or seaweed not too sure what it was, growing on the bottom.  There was no telling what was living in there.  Well, all of a sudden we hear this HORRIBLE noise and realize we bottomed the boat out.  The motor dies and we were all suck in this little cove.  We look around and see jellyfish everywhere and the only way to really get us out of there is to get in the water and push the boat to deeper water.  Well, Kent and Jared didn't want to touch the "grass" or whatever it was but finally sucked it up and got in.  Thankfully we got out of there and the motor started back.  We went on our way and finally found a good spot to dock.  Just over some sand dunes was the ocean so we all went over there and played for a bit then headed back to the boat to eat and them snorkle in the bay side of Shell Island.  Kent and Jared saw a blowfish and took a picture of it and we also saw some sting rays.  Well, we decided we would start heading back and stop at what is called the "kiddie pool" of Shell Island.  It's where you can walk out into the water for like 50 yards and the water never gets above your chest.  It was SO beautiful there and the water was crystal blue.  We swam there for a bit and took some pictures.  On our way back to the boat rental place we saw some dolphins.  One big dolphin came right up to the boat and poked his head up for us.  He even opened his mouth and showed us his teeth.  It was so cool being so close to a dolphin like that.  He got bored with us and swam away.  We took the boat back to the rental place and headed back to the hotel room.  Lesli and Jared went back to the beach and Kent took a nap.  I sat out on the balcony and "people watched".  We all then took showers and headed out for the night.  We went and ate at Captain Anderson's.  GREAT FOOD!  Exspensive but good!  You can even go at like 4:00pm and watch them bring in the "haul" for the day.  They have a fresh fish market and tons more to do while you wait to be seated.  After supper we went and played putt-putt golf.  Jared and Kent tied for 1st and then Lesli came in next and I was in last place.  It was OK...we had fun.  We then went and played at an arcade.  Kent and Jared road a virtual roller coaster.  I got some pictures of them.  When they were done and they opened the thing back up Kent looked "freaked out".  He had broken out into a sweat and everything.  He was just too funny!  Kent and Jared then went and road go carts while Lesli and I talked and waited for them to get through.  After that we wall went home and played some cards and called it a night.

Vacation: Day Two

Sunday morning around 5:30am I woke up to one heck of a thunderstorm.  I don't think I've ever heard thunder like I did that morning.  I'm guessing the sound of the thunder just echoed over the ocean.  I shortly drifted back to sleep.  The room we were staying in that night was one my parents were also staying in.  To be honest, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I thought it would be weird going to sleep with Kent and my parents be sleeping right next to us in the next bed.  It wasn't that bad.  Anyway, the bed we were staying in was MUCH smaller than the one we have here at home.  So naturally, Kent was rolling all over me during the night.  I had his elbows all in my back.  It was frustrating but at that time I was too tired to notice.  Anyway, around 9:00am we all were awake and just watching TV.  One of the friends who was also staying at the same hotel went and got us all some breakfast from Mickey D's.  We ate that and then Kent and I packed up and headed to the Summit to check in.  We got to the Summit and it was about 1:00pm.  We figured we would be able to go to our room by them.  But nope...it wasn't ready.  I was already frustrated because the lobby was PACKED full of people.  Mostly teenage girls who where apparently in town for a softball something or another.  Well, since we couldn't get in our room yet, we went back to my parent's hotel and threw on our swim suits and headed to the beach.  We still couldn't swim because of the red flags so we just laid on the beach and talked.  Kent and my daddy did eventually get in the ocean and played around for a bit.  After being on the beach for about 2 hours, we went back to the Summit and checked in and our room was ready.  By this time Lesli and Jared had arrived and we all unloaded our luggage in the room and headed back to the beach for a bit.  Around 4:30pm or so Kent and I got ready to go out with my parents.  Lesli and Jared decided to stay in and order pizza and then go grocery shopping.  On our way to the place to eat (Scampy's) we almost got in a car accident.  Apparently, one lane of traffic had stopped to let this car get through.  Instead of the car S L O W L Y crossing the road it decided to GUN it and try and get into our lane.  Just to give yall a visual, there was a turning lane that the car could have pulled into instead of trying to be all brave and just blindly driving into our lane.  Anyway, the car had to be INCHES from hitting us.  They slammed on their brakes and Kent swurve off the road to keep the car from hitting us.  Kent swurved so hard that it slung (is that proper English???) me into the side window.  I was OK and Kent was OK.  But it scared the holy crap out of me because I was thinking about the baby.  I just knew if that car hit us I was going to have to go to the hospital and honestly Kent would have probably had to too....but thankfully God was watching over us and protected us from that!  I just knew if that car hit us and Kent was alright that I was going to have to bail Kent out of jail.  Because he was like "are you OK...is the baby OK?"  He told me later that he thought about stopping and yelling at the guy who was driving the car, but knew it was better that he hadn't.  Anyway, we made it to Scampy's.  I tried some crab claws...not good.  I was craving and honestly still am craving stuffed crab shells.  But shhhhh don't tell Kent.  We then went back to the hotel and talked with Lesli and Jared and watched some fireworks.  Then to bed....nothing too exciting yet.  Mostly relaxing...the good stories come on Day Three...so until then....

Vacation: Day One

5:45am Saturday morning....we get up and load the car.  Around 6:30am we are on the road.  We stop by Jack's and grab a quick bite to eat.  Roughly 5 hours later we are at the BEACH!  Saturday night we stayed with my parents.  They were already down there vacationing and wanted us to stay a night with them.  When we got to the hotel we decided we were hungry and wanted to grab some lunch before unloading the car and going to the beach, so we did.  We went to Wendy's and grabbed some lunch.  It took us FOREVER to get something to eat.  There were people everywhere.  Finally we got our food, ate it and left.  We went to a few "beach stores" and picked up a few things that we would need...goggles, snorkle gear, etc.  By 2:00pm we were back at the beach.  We really couldn't swim because there were red flags (red flags mean it's not safe to swim because there is a strong untoe in the currents).  We bought some kites and TRIED to fly them.  I got my kite up but only because my daddy helped me.  Kent never really got his kite to fly...poor thing.  Well, we laid out for a bit and then headed inside to take showers and get ready to go out to eat for supper.  Around 6ish pm we headed to eat and we ate at Pineapple Willy's.  I had the rib bucket which is always good.  The waitress had to be new because we moved tables because we were sitting outside and there were rain/storms clouds coming and we didn't want to get wet.  We only moved like 5 feet away, but we got ugly looks the rest of the night.  Oh well...  After eating we went through Pineapple Willy's gift shop and I got 2 t-shirts and Kent got 2 t-shirts.  Our next stop was Funland Arcade.  We had a really good time in there and won tons of tickets!  We ended up getting a Blue's Clue dog and 2 Carebears.  All of which were gotten with Jon Kent in mind.  After Funland, we headed back to our room.  Kent and I strolled down the beach for a bit and then came back to the room.  I had forgotten something in the car so we headed to get it.  We saw a police car blocking traffic infront of our hotel.  I looked down the road and saw police tape and a BUNCH of police cars and crime scene investigators.  We went back to the room and told my parents and some friends that were also vacationing with us.  We all (being nosey people) walked down there to see what was up.  I thought someone had been murderered or something.  So I was pretty freaked out.  Well, we got there and apparently some drunk guy was driving a four wheeler on the wrong side of the road and another car didn't see him and hit him head on.  From what we were told the guy on the 4-wheeler didn't survive.  It was pretty sad.  After that we all went to bed.

*More Random Thoughts*

Nothing new to really talk about.  Just the same ol' same ol'.  Around 1:30 this morning we had a thunderstorm blow through that was kinda bad.  Kent and I both were asleep but this horrible sound came from outside and it almost sounded like our carport had been struck by lightening.  As far as I know it hadn't been, but lightening had to have hit something because that noise wasn't thunder.  Both of the cats were scared.  Kacie (the sweet one) was right up under me.  She had gotten as close to me as she could.  Sammie (the not so nice one) followed me into the bathroom and was under my feet.  When it thundered she ran and hid under the kitchen table.  She was so pitiful.  I finally went back to sleep but it was hard because I was so scared our house was going to get hit by lightening after hearing that previous sound...eeek!  But it didn't and I am still alive and kickin'.

I was reading another lady's journal just a while ago and she was talking about her mom.  It was really sweet how she wrote that her mom takes on a lot (i.e her mom takes care of her dying father and her grandmother who seems to be breaking a lot of bones here lately).  The lady writing was saying how people seem to dump a lot of stuff on her mom for no reason just because they know she will do it.  It's so sad.  So, I am going to take the opportunity right now to thank my mom for all she has done for me.  I'm starting to realize more and more as I come closer to being a mom myself just how much my mom did for me growing up and even now.  She came to all my "sporting events", softball, soccer, band competitions.  She cooked too many meals to count...even when she may not have wanted to.  She took me shopping for new school clothes.  She took me to get my driver's license.  My mom has done MANY things for me during my life that I don't thank her for.  So thank you moma for taking the time to deal with my mood swings or to just take me shopping or even now still cook me supper from time to time.  I know I don't say it enough, but I do love you and I do appreciate all the things that you have done for me during my childhood and even now into adulthood!

Well, that is all my random thoughts for today...  I think I might try laying out again today...ugh but it's soooo HOT.  90 degrees already and its not even lunch time....  Oh well....  Yall be good and I'll talk with yall later!!!

Just because

Nothing to really type about.  I just had the urge to write so I am.  In a few minutes or so, I plan on laying out.  I have been waiting on Kent's grandfather to finish cutting grass, so I can lay out without fear of having my limbs chopped off.  It has been known for me to lay out and have circles cut AROUND me while I tan.  So, now I just wait for him to finish.  I have been washing clothes...so far one load down and 3 more to go.  I had really gotten behind in my washing.  I was supposed to go get my nails done with a friend today, but I am going to have to cancel on account that washing clothes has to come first today.  Maybe later in the week we can go.  If not I'll just go by myself on Friday.  That way my nails will be fresh for the "big vacation".  We leave this Sunday for the beach.  CAN'T WAIT!!!!  Yall will have to manage not having a new entry while I am gone.  Are yall sad???  Probably not...lol.  Well, that is enough rambling for now...back to washing clothes...yall be good and if anything exciting happens I'll be back to let yall know!  Later!

*Random writings*

Well, not a lot to really talk about today.  Nothing major happened...  I was mostly bored today...  I did exercise for about 30 minutes today.  It actually felt really good to workout again.  I haven't really exercised in about 2 weeks. (Bad Emily).  I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things again.  I gained 5 pounds last month which isn't "bad" but I sure do hate seeing that number on the scale get bigger and bigger.  But so far only 8 pounds have I gained.  Not bad for 5 1/2 months pregnant.

What am I doing tomorrow....  Ummm I don't know.  I would really like to lay out, but I don't know if the weather will allow that.  These freak afternoon thunderstorms can throw things off.  We had two come through today.  The last one knocked my power out for like 2 seconds...thankfully it came right back on.  But the lightening was pretty bad with it.  I guess that is just summer weather in the south.  I guess I could do what I had planned on doing today, tomorrow.  I still need to finish my check list for packing for the vacation.  I still need to figure out what foods we are taking AND I need to wash clothes tomorrow too.  Hopefully, I will actually do something tomorrow.  And maybe get some exercising in too.  We'll see I guess.

Well, I guess that is all my random thoughts for today....  Yall be good and I'll talk with yall later!

My poor hubby....

So, it seems as though Kent has *MY* cold.  It's sorta funny, because usually I am never able to pass my germs to him.  But this time...I did it!  Now he's going around with a stuffed up head and you would thinking he had caught some jungle virus or something.  "My head is stuffed up, my eyes hurt, *cough, cough*, my thoat is sore, *sniff, sniff*" and so on...  But yet when I had the SAME thing a week ago...it was..."take something".  Uh, hellooooo...I'm pregnant here...there isn't a whole lot I can take...  I did suggest that once he is in the shower and has been under the hot water for a bit to "blow the snot out of his nose".  It has been working for me.  So, if there are any pregnant ladies here and you have a cold...try it...it has really worked!  Anyway, I give it a few more days and he will be fine...hopefully.

On a healthier note...sorta...  I balanced the checkbook today and it balanced out to the penny!!!  Woohoo...go me, go me, go me...  For the past...uh I'd say...6 months I have been coming up unbalanced which absolutely drives me CRAZY...but FINALLY....VICTORY!!!!!  Ok, maybe that's taking a bit too far but still it is such a great relief to be balanced!

So what does tomorrow have in store for me...or actually it would be today...after I wake up...  Umm probably going to sleep late...ahhhh can't wait.  I'll probably then get up and have some breakfast, have my quiet time, and then straighten up the house.  I'll probably start "preparing" for the vacation.  I still have to decide what "foods" we are taking and what we are going to buy when we get down there.  I already have a check list prepared for what we are taking as far as clothes, bath supplies, and beach supplies.  *Yes, I am too organized...and yes I know once a baby gets here I will have to get over my "perfectionisums" <~~~is that a word?*

Well, I still need to take my vitimins and iron pill before bed.  AND and I still need to iron Kent's uniform for work in the morning.  So, I guess I better get to work because I am READY for bed!  Yall be good!!!!

My Busy Saturday!!!!

Whew!  My day has been busy!  I decided yesterday that since I cleaned out my closets, that today I would give the house a good cleaning.  Well, about 11:45am I started cleaning.  And as always...I CLEANED!  It felt sooo good though to get my house in order!  I wiped all the countertops off and the table, I bleached my sinks, dusted, cleaned the bathroom (sink, toilet, shelves), swept, vacuumed, washed dishes, and washed clothes.  Now everything is CLEAN!  Atleast for today anyways.  I am going to do another good cleaning right before we go to Florida so the house will be clean when we come back.  Also it will let me relax while on vacation.  I won't have "cleaner's guilt".  Anywho, after cleaning I had some lunch(ham sandwich).  It was good!  Then I hopped in the shower.  I still need to go dry my hair and fix it.  Kent and I are going out to eat with my parents tonight.  I don't know exactly where we are going, but I am sure we will have fun.  Well, that is all that I have for now!  Yall be good and I'll talk with yall later!
