We got his haircut again today. And what a change!! He is just too adorable for words. I dare someone to tell me he isn't just the cutest!!

Good News to Go Around
Well for starters I am down to 134 pounds!! Woohoo!! That makes me 6 pounds from my goal of 128! I gave myself a new goal date of July 4th to meet that weight. I'm excited to see if I am able to do it. I have really been strict on myself over the past week or so to really buckle down and lose the rest of my unwanted weight. Some good news to go along with this is that I haven't been this *small* since before marrying Kent. So that is GREAT!! I'm hoping to also get some of my tummy toned(been working on that for months now it seems) before heading to the beach. It's OK now but it's not great. I'll keep yall posted on the progress!
Last night Zoey finally rolled over for the first time! Yes, I know she is almost 7 months old... She just isn't a roller! Her pediatrician said that it was funny how she couldn't roll over but could sit and pull herself up. Because it makes more effort and coordination to do those things than it does to roll over. But she just doesn't like to be on her tummy or her back. But none the less she rolled over. So YAY to that!!
16 days until we head to the beach with my parents. I may have failed to mention in earlier entries that they are the ones taking us to the beach. I am VERY, VERY grateful for their generosity in taking us! I am sure that Jon Kent and Zoey are thankful too! ;0) There is just so much to pack. I was just thinking about it the other day that I need to start making a list of things we need to pick up at the store and things that we need to pack. Because it will be like moving just to get these kids to the beach! Plus, I am a planner and organizer so it's just in my nature to plan weeks ahead of time. Somebody has to do it!
Well, I am off. Once Jon Kent wakes up we will eat lunch and head to the pool! Talk with yall later!

Official Start of Summer
And boy is it HOT!! At 10am it was 90 degrees already!! The weather "lady" said that it would probably hit 100 before the day is through! Now that is "HOT". Anywho... Today is June 21, 2006, which means it is the first official day of summer. Woohoo! I love summer. Even it is hot most days. That's what the pool is for! Well, only 19 more days until we are heading to the beach! Have I mentioned how I can't wait!?!?!! Well, I can't! I'm really looking forward to the time away and seeing Zoey play in the sand for the first time. And Jon Kent hasn't been since he was like 4 months old, so this will all be new to him too. Can't wait to see how he acts! I hope they both have a good time.
Well, there's not much to report. I have some pictures of Kent's present for Father's day from the kids and some other random pictures in there as well. Enjoy!

Just Life
Boy has it been a week.... Whew!!
Jon Kent has had a cold since Tuesday of last week. It started with a little runny nose, then coughing, then he woke up one morning horse, then the runny nose turned into a river of snot... You get the picture. Zoey decided to also play the cold game and got one as well. Although hers didn't get as bad as Jon Kent's. In fact she is basically over hers while Jon Kent is still coughing and still has a runny nose from time to time. I guess my breast milk helped with that. But we are all on the mend so that is good.
Wednesday night while flossing (never going to floss again....OK, maybe that's not true but...whatever) I had a filling to fall out. I have NEVER had a filling to fall out before so I was kind of freaked. First thing the next morning I call the dentist and they get me in to have a temporary put in since they "don't do walk in fillings". Anyway, I get there and the nurse comes in and asked what I am in for. I tell her that I had a filling to fall out. She says and I quote, "Oh, you want us to pull the tooth for you?". Uhhhh no... Let's see... I'm 23 years old...my teeth are in good condition but ya know I always wanted to do the bubba teeth look...so why not...PULL IT! :::sarcasm::: I looked at that lady like she had two heads. "No...I just want you to fill it back in." So the dentist comes in and puts in a temporary one and sets up an appointment to come in Monday (today) to get a permanent one done. So that's what I did. Now I am "complete" again. I have a wicked ulcer in my mouth though. So I haven't been able to eat too well nor really talk a lot. Which Kent is probably LOVING the talking part. It seems like it is taking it forever to heal up though. I've had it for like a week now. Oh hum... Me and my mouth troubles... ;0)
Three weeks and counting until we go to the beach! Woohoo!!! I can't wait! I hope the kids do well on the trip down and that we all just have fun. I am trying not to put any expectations on this trip. Because I know with kids you just can't predict what will happen. So I am just hoping we just have a reasonably good time and if we get a few laughs then it will be a success!
Well, I will be going now. Sorry for the lack of updating lately. But I am sure yall understand with the kids being sick and all. Talk with yall later!

Sorry So Long
I know it has been awhile since my last entry but things have been some what busy around here. I will start with the present and work my way back...
We took Zoey to the doctor today for her 6 month well baby visit. She is 27 1/2 inches long (90% in her age group), 20 pounds 10oz. (off the charts) and her head is 18 in circumference (also off the charts). She is healthy as a horse and the doctor said not to worry about her being so "big" that with her being so tall that it balances out. So Momma's milk is doing that girl some good! She had to have 4 shots today which she took very well. But now she isn't feeling to well...cranky and all. Also today, Jon Kent woke up with a cold. His nose is running pretty badly and he just doesn't feel well. He is usually very active and wild but today he was just kind of sluggish. Doesn't want to eat and all that jazz. Hopefully he will feel better in the morning and so will Zoey.
Saturday I went out to brunch with a group of ladies at church. We ate at the Cracker Barrel. It was a pretty good time. We got to talk and just have some adult time together. I also found Zoey's 2nd tooth Saturday. Two teeth already!!
As far as the job thing goes. I talked to the guy (I had to call him back) and he said that he was still very interested in me and asked me a few more questions. He said he would get together with me either Monday or Tuesday of this week (yes I know Monday as already past and Tuesday is about to). He has yet to call me back and I am tired of calling him. But I may give him a few more days and give him one last call. Yes I would like to have this type of job but if I keep having to chase him around then it's not worth it.
OH! Kent, the kids, and myself are going to the beach in July (please don't let there be a hurricane then). We are going the week after July 4th. I am so excited!! I just LOVE the beach! We will also be going in September with Kent's family! So fun!!! YAY!!!
Well, I am going to go. I am helping my daddy look for places to stay when we go to the beach. Later all!!

Ya know...
I'm not really the worrying type. Well, let me rephrase that before my husband falls out of his chair laughing... Unless it's about my family I really don't worry about things. Or really get nervous about things. When I was in the hospital having Zoey the nurse mentioned to Kent and me that we didn't see like the stressing type. That we didn't seem to get nervous about things. I guess because whenever I would have a contraction I would just breathe through it and when it was over it was over. And when she asked me a question during a contraction I would politely try and answer it while feeling like my uterus was about to be ripped out of my body. So anyway, that brings me to this... I'M NERVOUS!!!!!!!! Really, really, really, really nervous. So what about you may be asking your computer screen. A job. Yes, a job. And if things work out well, it could be a really good job. A job where I can stay at home with my kids and still do the job. All the details haven't been worked out because the guy who is thinking about hiring me was in the middle of doing some work. So he said he would call me back. That was like 30 minutes ago and he said he would call back in an hour. I'm pretty nervous (see above). It's accounting work and although I do have a degree in accounting that's all I have...a degree. No actual work experience in that field and it's been awhile since I have been to school (3 years to be exact). So we will just see how it goes. When I talked to the guy he seemed really harsh. Not mean harsh, just in his voice. Like a really serious guy, no horsing around type of guy. Oh boy am I nervous! I'll let yall know how it goes...
So getting off that subject...
Ever had a hickey?? LOL. When Kent and I first got married we would horse around and try and give each other hickeys before the other noticed what was going on...hey, we were "young and in love". Anyway, well I am now sporting THREE nice hickeys on my left shoulder.
And they aren't from my darling husband. Rather they are from my cute little princess. Yesterday she was sucking my shoulder. She has been doing that a lot since she has been teething. So I thought nothing of it, until it she started sucking HARD and when I pulled her off there were three lovely little "bruises". UGH! So no tank tops for me until these clear up. LOL.
Well, I best be going. I need to go pace and wait for the phone to ring...

News, news and more news
Today is an election day here in the great state of Alabama. It's just the primaries but the campaign ads have really gotten nasty. Well, at least the ones in my district have been. Thankfully though they are in a different party than I am so I don't have to worry about voting against one of them until November. They, in my opinion, are both crooks. But aren't all politicians???
Anyway, as many of you probably already have realized or at least seen on the news, today is June 6, 2006...6.6.06. I heard on the news last night that a lot of pregnant women were trying to get induced before the day approached or trying everything in their power NOT to have their baby today. Now that's a change of events. For a pregnant woman who is about to pop NOT want to give birth. But I can't really blame them. I wouldn't want my child born on today either. Even if is just a coincidence of the numbers...but I don't believe in coincidences either...
Zoey is trying to pull up into a standing position. She can already stand alone while holding on to something. But she gets careless and ends up falling. But today Jon Kent was in the kitchen playing with his cars (rolling them around and such) so I took the opportunity to get some cleaning done in the kitchen. So I sat Zoey inside a clothes basket with some toys so that she could be in the kitchen with us and if she happened to lose her balance she wouldn't slam into the hard floor. Anyway, as you can see in the pictures above her brother just had to join her. They played so well together. After Jon Kent got out though, Zoey thought she would try too. So she started trying to pull herself up using the sides. She almost did a couple of times too. That's how Jon Kent learned to pull himself up, using the clothes basket. I guess she is trying to follow in her brother's foot steps.
Kent had to work today. Today is one of his usual off days, but they gave him Sunday, Monday off instead. He had some sort of training to do today. So my week is off so far. I keep thinking it's Wednesday. I really wish he were home...I miss having him with me during the day...
Well, I am off. I think Zoey is trying to wake her from her nap.. Talk with yall later!

Happy June!!!
And so half of the year is already coming to an end! This year has FLOWN by!! I cannot believe that Zoey will be 6 months old tomorrow...SIX MONTHS!!! Where has the time gone??? She is growing and developing so quickly that before I know it I will be planning her 1st Birthday!! ACK!!
There's not a lot going on in June for us. I believe Zoey and Kent have doctor appointments some time this month. I have a hair appointment (just trimming it...plan on donating it when it gets long enough), and then there is Father's Day. So we aren't busy this month...thank goodness. Last month was full of stuff to do!
I put some pictures in of the kids. Jon Kent likes to climb on his bed. Such a big bed for such a little boy...lol. And Jon Kent and Zoey had their first bath together where Zoey could actually sit on her own. I just threw them in there so I could wash the sunscreen off of them. Zoey is still getting her baths in the sink in her baby tub. But she is just about too big for it now though. I believe she is at least 19 pounds by now if not 20. We are having to move her into a bigger car seat because she has just about out grown her infant carrier. That means she will inherit her brother's and he will be getting one that goes to a 100 pounds. My babies are growing up on me...sniff, sniff.
Well, I will go now. Enjoy the pictures!!
