Today we had Jon Kent's baby dedication at church. It went really well. I wasn't sure how Jon Kent was going to act because he/we didn't get a lot of sleep the night before. But he did very well. Our pastor (Bro. Don) just asked Kent and I a series of questions like would we pray for our son, raise our son in church, teach our son the things of God, etc. And we answered by saying we would. Then he asked the church generally the same questions. Anyway, Bro. Don then asked to hold Jon Kent so that he could pray over him. Now, we never know if Jon Kent will freak out when someone else holds him, so I was holding my breath. But surprisingly enough Jon Kent did very well. In fact, the whole time Bro. Don was praying for Jon Kent, Jon Kent had his hand in Bro. Don's mouth. It was really cute and funny. After Jon Kent was dedicated the church gave us a "Baby Bible" for Jon Kent, a letter for Jon Kent to open after he is saved (accepts Jesus Christ to be his Savior and Lord), a framed certificate of when he was dedicated, and then a "My First Bible". The whole thing went really well. It was a day that I will always remember!!

Awww! That sounds very similar to ours only there were about 6 babies dedicated at the same time! We got the prayers, the certificate, a pic frame, and the little Bible! Glad JK did so well for you! Rylie was only 2 months old, so it was easy to manage her. Does your church always wait until they're older or was that your choice?
Awww, he is just precious! Love those sweet little smiles!
