He rolled over, he rolled over!!!!

WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!  Jon Kent rolled over!!!  I am just tooooo proud of a mommy right now!  I had him in the floor trying to tire him out before bedtime and I put him on his tummy and the next thing I knew he was on his back.  I was speechless!!!  I finally got "Look, Kent!" out and Kent came over and he did it again for him!  Of course, we had to call EVERYONE we knew practically and let them know.  When he did it, you could tell he knew he did something, because he just grinned!!!  It was the most precious thing in the world!!!  WOOHOO!

EVERYBODY is sick!!

Everybody in my family practically is sick!  Kent's sister had a "bug" and now has a cold, Kent's moma is coughing, Kent's grandfather is coughing and stuffed up, Kent's granny is coughing and starting to sound stuffed up as well, and Kent has a sore thoat.  My moma is also sick with a "bug" as well.  And starting today, my stomach doesn't feel so well!  Hopefully, Jon Kent won't get sick from any of these people.  But I am going to watch him VERY closely for the next few days!

Jon Kent has been sleeping VERY well for the past two nights!  Woohoo!  Hopefully this is a tend into the right direction!  Him and his daddy are napping now...as you can tell in the pictures.  Aren't they just the CUTEST!!!

Kent and I both have doctor appointments today at 3:30pm.  Same doctor, so we are just going to go in together.  We are taking Jon Kent with us.  Since all our babysitters are sick.  Hopefully, he will be fine and be in a good mood when we go.

No Subject

Whew, what a day!  Jon Kent was up to his old sleeping habits again.  He slept from 8:30pm-1am.  Then was up at 3:30am, 4:30am, and I finally got him back to sleep at 6am and he slept til 7:30am.  Then we played for a bit and we both took about an hour and a half nap.  Then I cleaned the house up a bit and then Jon Kent and I played for about 45 minutes and he was back out.  That was a little before 1pm and now it's a little after 1:30pm.  So, it's a nice break I am getting right now.  Kent should be home in about 30 minutes.  He had to go into work early this morning, so he is getting off earlier than usual.  Which is nice.  Because I need a BREAK!!  I have seemed to have gotten a headache and it's finally starting to go away. 

The weather has cooled back off.  We were having temps in the high 60s and low 70s.  Which was kind of nice, because I got to get Jon Kent out in it.  And he really seems to like the outdoors.  But now the temps are back in the 50s.  And the weatherman said that it looks like it will get even colder as the days go by for atleast another week.  Oh well.  Spring isn't too far away though, so hopefully things will be warming up soon and the flowers that I planted last Fall will bloom.  I'm hoping so anyways!

We don't have any plans for the weekend.  My parents are keeping Jon Kent tomorrow afternoon so Kent and I can work out.  And I am hoping that we can go to my favorite place to eat tonight, Panos (not sure if that is spelled right).  I have been craving to eat there ALL day!!!  We'll see if we go or not.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that Jon Kent is 100 days old today!!!  Woohoo!!!

Hump Day!

AHHHHH!!!  Sleep is SO wonderful!!  Jon Kent slept GREAT last night.  And I mean G-R-E-A-T!!!  He went to sleep at 8:30pm and slept until 2am.  Then I fed him and he was back in his crib by 2:30am and he slept until 6:45am.  Woohoo!!  He was sooo happy when he got up today too.  He usually wakes up all grumpy.  He is apparently like his mommy...not a morning person.  But today he woke up and I fed him and we played.  Then he kicked back out at like 10:45am and we both slept until 12pm.  So nice!!!  I'm hoping this is a trend into sleeping better!!  If not, then I'll get over...may have bags under my eyes, but I'll get over it!!  Nothing a little make-up can't cover!!

So what have I done today...  Well, I have washed 2 loads of clothes with no more than 2 more to go.  I may save Jon Kent's clothes to wash later.  He doesn't have many that need washing.  But if I have time I will.  I still need to wash dishes and bottles and make up some more bottles of formula for the little piglet.  I need to sweep the kitchen and wood floors as well.  I plan on going over to my parent's tonight and tanning too.  Busy day for me I guess!

In other news, our credit union is giving us problems over our loan.  We got a loan last summer to buy our car.  And we have made EVERY payment EARLY.  Anyway, the other day Kent and I BOTH get a late notice in the mail saying that we haven't paid our last payment on the loan.  I knew that it was wrong because I had just gotten done balancing the checkbook.  And I remembered that I saw that the check had cleared.  So anyway, I called my moma who works at our "main" bank and she checked to see if it cleared and it had.  So they are in fault.  The lady said that it just wasn't applied to our loan.  I hope it doesn't get on our credit report that we didn't pay it.  Because if it does then I am going to be really mad.  Because we did nothing wrong to begin with!  Kent has to talk to the lady today to make sure it is all worked out.  Hopefully it will be.

Another first

Jon Kent spent the night with my parents last night!  Sniff, sniff.  It was kind of a last minute thing.  Kent wasn't feeling good (stomach bug or something) and I was completely exhausted from the lack of sleep that I had had in the past fews days.  My parents were both off today for President's Day so it just kind of all worked out.  We took him over there at 7pm.  My parents said that he did pretty good.  He slept pretty good for them too...figures.  Anyway, I missed him like crazy.  But if I am to be completely honest...it was nice to take a break and be a wife to my husband again.  Instead of just a mother to his child.  Know what I mean??  Anyway, Kent and I enjoyed staying up late watching the O.C first season.  And we took a trip to Wal-Mart to get some things.  Then we slept in late and just laid around all day.  We went out to lunch and then came home and read.  It was really nice!!!  But as I said earlier, I missed Jon Kent like crazy.  By the time we got to my parent's house to pick him up, my heart was aching for him.  I just love him soooo much!!  Anyway, once we got him home it was the same routine.  Bath at 8pm and he was out by 8:30pm.  He is still asleep now.  So sweet!!

In other news, Kent bought me the DVD "The Notebook" for Valentine's Day.  It was an awesome movie.  I think it is now my all time favorite movie!!  Anyway, I got the book to read as well.  It is WONDERFUL.  You have to get the book.  It was soooo good and it doesn't end like the movie did.  I also got another book by the same author (Nicholas Sparks).  It's called "The Wedding".  It is also a really good book.  I am like 10 pages from finishing it.  Both are GREAT reads!!!

All I can say is this:  1am looks just like 2am and 2am looks just like 3am and 3am looks just like 4am and 4am looks just like 5am...

Jon Kent was at it again last night.  From midnight til 5am he was up every hour or every half hour.  Why???  Well, as flattered as I was, it was because he wanted to be held by me.  As soon as I would scoop him out of his crib he would be asleep before I could even sit down and rock him.  So I would rock him for a few minutes and put him back in his bed.  Only to be up in less than an hour or so later.  *sigh*  Honestly, as much sleep as I missed, I know I'm building a bond with my son.  And that is worth all the sleepless nights in the world.

His second night in his crib (sniff, sniff) he slept almost 8 hours!  I was like YESSSSS!!!  Hoping it was the beginning of him sleeping longer.  But the next night he was up every 2 hours or so and then last night...well you have already read about that.  I *thought* that feeding him cereal (per doctor orders because of his reflux) would keep him full longer and thus sleep longer.  WRONG!  The irony of all this is...he's asleep right now.

Yesterday I worked out.  And today I am really feeling it.  I walked a mile before my weight lifting and then a mile afterwards.  I burned like 200 calories and really got a good work out in all.  But I am sore today.  Oh well...it's worth it to look skinny again!

My baby is 3 months old today!

Jon Kent is 3 months old today!!  He celebrated by being a big boy all night long and sleeping in his "big boy bed" all night long.  He actually slept better last night than he has in the past week.  His father and I on the other hand didn't sleep all that great.  I did sleep better than Kent surprisingly.  Don't really know why though.  Anyway, Jon Kent slept 5 hours before getting up and then he ate and went back down for another 3 hours.  Not bad.  I was very proud!!

Today was such a BEAUTIFUL day.  It was in the 70s here all day with tons of sunshine.  I put the windows up in the house and let a nice breeze blow through.  Kent, Jon Kent, and I all went grocery shopping today.  And we actually had a lot of fun.  I guess good weather just does that to you.  Anyway, after we got home I cleaned the house while Kent washed the car.  Jon Kent went next door and spent some time with his Granny and Paw-Paw.  Then we all settled down for the evening.  I watched my favorite Tuesday night show, "One Tree Hill" and then Jon Kent went to bed.  It was a good day!!

My eye is doing better.  It doesn't hurt to blink anymore...thankfully.  It was seriously giving me a headache.  But now, I have seemed to have pulled a muscle in my chest.  From doing what you might ask...MOPPING!!!  I guess when I mop I take it seriously and really get down.  Oh well...the risk of mopping to have a clean house is worth it!  I'm sure I will be better tomorrow.

I've got a lot to talk about!

Wow, it has been a loooong time since I updated!  Sorry about that.  Just not a lot going on everyday to really sit down and type about.  But all the days added together there is quite a bit going on.  So, grab something to eat and drink...this may take awhile!

First of all, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!  I hope everyone had a great one.  Kent was off today, so we had the whole day to spend together.  Kent cleaned up the house for me and washed some clothes for me as well.  We then took Jon Kent to my parent's house and we went out for supper.  All the food was really good!!  We exchanged gifts and cards.  I gave Kent a gift card to Sears so he can buy some tools or whatever.  And he got me the Season One of the O.C. and the movie "The Notebook".  We had a really good time!  Jon Kent got some Valentines as well.  He got a card and some money from his Gramsie and Papaw and a Valentine Bear from his Granny and Paw-Paw and a Valentine puppy from his Mimi and Papa.  He racked up himself.  So today was a good day for everyone.

Sniff...sniff...  My baby is sleeping in his room tonight for the very first time...  I thought he would have woken up by now, but nope.  He is still sound asleep.  I on the other hand probably won't sleep a wink tonight.  My baby is growing up!!!  Make it stop, make it stop!!!

Speaking of making it stop...  I can't blink my right eye without it hurting.  I seem to have a stye.  UGH!  It has my eye looking puffy.  I told Kent I was going to tell everyone that he hit me.  But anyway, every time I blink it feels like someone is pushing my eyeball in.  I'm hoping it goes away soon, because it is giving me a headache!!!

Well, I do believe that is all I have.  Hopefully, it won't take me so long to update again!  I'll talk with yall later!!!

Well, it's Thursday and that means another work out day for me.  Can you tell that I look forward to my work outs???  Call me a nerd, but I will sit around and *map out* all the things I plan to do during my work out in my head.  I just love doing it so much.  I hope that I don't get burnt out on it though.  Hopefully not.  Because it is the one constant thing that I can do a few times a week to refresh myself as a mother and person. 

Jon Kent is sleeping.  Has been for quite awhile now.  He woke up at 7:45am and we played in the floor for about 30 minutes, then I gave him a bottle and he took about half of it (3oz) and then he went to sleep (and so did I) for about an hour.  Then he woke back up long enough to take another 3oz and back to sleep he went and that was an hour ago.  I guess he is going through a growth spurt.  In any event, it is giving me some *playtime* so I'm not complaining.

Well, I'm off to get some more things done around the house.  Yall have a great Thursday!!!

Stuffy Boy

My poor baby boy is all stuffed up.  Well...one side of his nose is anyways.  It doesn't really seem to be bothering him, but it bothers me!  I hate to hear him *trying* to breathe.  It's so sad.  His teething seems to be going fine though.  We are still giving him the teething tablets and they seem to be doing him good.  So why mess with a good thing???  My only question is this, do I start brushing it when it fully comes in??  Or do I rub my finger over it with a special toothpaste made for babies?  When do I start taking him to the dentist??  OK, maybe that was more than one question...but I am a new mom and I have no idea what to do.  I guess it's just a live and learn kind of thing, right!?!?  I guess I could *Goggle* it and see what information comes up.  In other news, Jon Kent seems to really be liking his cereal or *Captian Crunch*...lol.  That's what Kent and I call it.  Yeah, we're nerds...  It really seems to keep him full longer.  He can go 4 hours without really wanting something.  And even then I am the one usually trying to feed him another bottle.  He may could go longer.  He is sleeping pretty good too.  Six and a half hours last night before waking up.  And then another 3 hours after that.  He also took a 2 hour nap today as well.  Which RARELY EVER happens.  So all and all his sleep habits are going well.  I believe that's all I have in Jon Kent news...

Kent and I worked out again today.  As always it was fun for me.  I just enjoy being active.  Always have.  I hate just sitting around doing nothing.  If I'm not cleaning or washing or whatever I can't stand myself.  I have to do something *productive* everyday or else I feel lazy or useless.  Call me crazy.  Anywho, back on subject, we worked out for about an hour.  I walked 1.3 miles and burned 111 calories.  I also did some weight lifting and some ab workouts.  It was a good work out if I do say so myself.  Today I also cleaned.  I *Power Cleaned*.  Here is how it works:  On days that I don't do my full clean everything in site clean I try and "power clean".  I give myself 15 minutes for all the *big* rooms in my house and 10 minutes for all the *smaller* rooms in my house.  It gives me just enough time to dust and vacuum and straighten everything up.  Plus, it makes me stay busy.  Because I am going against the clock so I can't sit down.  Kent calls it *crazy cleaning*.  But he'll get over it.  Like I said earlier...I know I am a nerd.  Live with it.

Well, that is all from the home front.  I have about 3 more loads of laundry to do, so I better get to it.  Yall have a great Tuesday!

Teething?????

Is it possible???  Could Jon Kent REALLY be teething???  'Fraid so.  Or atleast I think so.  Today Jon Kent was just perfect.  He cooed, laughed, smile, etc.  Well, around 6:30pm he just started screaming and I mean SCREAMING.  We did everything under the sun to get the poor baby to calm down.  I stripped him down to his birthday suit and he still wasn't having it.  I gave him a bath...and he LOVES his baths.....not this time.  He was screaming bloody murder.  I tried rocking him, Kent tried, my momma and daddy both tried and nothing.  Finally I rocked him to sleep but it wasn't a sound asleep.  I rubbed my finger in his mouth and sure enough I felt a little "pointy" thing in his gums.  So I run my finger around to the other side of his gums and it was smooth on that side.  So I am thinking he is teething.  It seems too soon though.  He will be 3 months old in 9 days.  I've heard of babies being born with teeth...but still it seems a little soon.  Anyway, Kent went and got Jon Kent same teething tablets and some other stuff to put on his teeth.  The tablets have seemed to help.  We'll see how it does.  In other news about Jon Kent...we put him on cereal...per his doctor's orders.  It's mixed in with his formula.  Because his reflux still isn't under control.  He got his first bottle of it tonight.  He really seemed to like it.  I'm going to start him out on it slowly though.  That way it doesn't mess up his "bowel movements" too much or at all.  Maybe two bottles a day starting out.  We'll see.

So who watched the Super Bowl???  I did.  Well, parts of it anyways.  In the mist of a crying baby...I caught most of the commericals.  Which is the only reason I really watch it to begin with.  Can you believe though that it cost those companies 2.4 million dollars just to air a 30 second commerical??  That is crazy stuff!  I thought the half time show was really good.  I know a lot of people will say that it was really G-rated...but it should be.  It should be a "fun for the FAMILY" half time show and that is exactly what it was.  I thought the crowd really got into it and that always makes it better.

Anyway, enough with my rambling.  I think I will head to bed while the baby is still in a good sleep!  Yall have a great night and a great week!!!

Saturday

Hey everyone!!  Not much going on...as you can tell from the lack of updates.  Jon Kent had a fever for a few days (low grade) so I took him to the doctor yesterday.  He was fine.  The doctor said that his reflux was probably what was bothering him.  So she upped his dose again.  She said he out grew his last dose.  He gained 2 pounds in one month.  So that makes him 14 pounds now.  My little booger is growing!!  His fever is gone now, so things are much better!

Yesterday was also my brother's birthday.  He is 26...such an old man now...  Anyway, my parent's, brother, his girlfriend, Kent, Jon Kent and myself all went out to eat last night for his birthday.  It was fun.

Today I am washing clothes.  I have two washed and atleast 2 more to go.  Having a baby makes your laundry load double...atleast!  I am also going to work out today at 4pm.  Kent and I do it 3 times a week.  I really look forward to each day that we do it.  It gives Kent and me some "adult" time and it's good for our health!  Jon Kent usually stays with his Granny next door or my parents.  He is staying with my parents today.

Happy Groundhog's Day

Happy Groundhog's Day!!!!  The *offical* groundhog saw it's shadow today, so we all know what that means...6 more weeks of winter.  But the *local* one where I live, didn't see his shadow...so Spring is just around the corner!  I hope so!!!

Jon Kent has a low grade fever.  But he is acting fine.  So I am just going to watch him for a bit and hopefully it will go away soon.  He seems to be doing fine though.  Swinging in his swing as we speak....babbling to himself.  It's such a sweet sound!

My hubby has training this week at his work and he got to come home for lunch.  It was a really nice surprise!  I just wanted to let yall know that I have a very thoughtful and loving husband.
