*Sigh*

***Copied from an email to my parents***

OK, so over the last 72+ hours Nathan has been throwing up most of his feedings.  It started out with only one feeding or so a day that he would throw it ALL back up.  This wasn't spit up or a wet burp.  This was projectile out of the mouth AND nose.  Soooo.. after it happening all night last night I called the pedi this morning and got an appt.  We got right in and she looked him over and said that it was either one of two things..  Acid reflux (been there done that and got the spit up T-shirt) or pyloric stenosis (http://familysurvey.org/parent/medical/digestive/pyloric_stenosis.html).  So we go to get an ultrasound of his belly and all that.  Took forever.  Very stressful.  If the ultrasound came back that he did have it we would be taken immediately to the children's hospital to have surgery.  Thankfully it came back fine, for now.  The doctor said it could still develop into pyloric stenosis but we are going to treat it as acid reflux for now and see if it gets better or gets worse.  If it gets better than we will know what it is, if it gets worse we will have to get another ultrasound to see if the muscle at the base of his stomach has gotten closed up.  Sooo with that, we are on Zantac 3 times a day.  So far he has kept one feeding down and thrown one up.  Sooooo... only time will tell. =/

I was going to mention the pyloric stenosis because my great nephew had that.  He was projectile vomiting every so often and then it got to every single time he would eat.  He had to have surgery but it went over smoothly and he was as good as new the next day.  Baby's seem to heal so quickly!  I pray that Nathan is better very soon!  Poor little guy!   He's go to be so frustrated along with you!
