Squash

We are still working on our "orange and yellow foods".  He did well.  He is getting the hang of eating.  I hope to start giving him one or two feedings a day everyday from now on.  Once we are done with squash we will do carrots.

He is absolutely BEAUTIFUL...I'll tell you a funny story.  My son is 16 but I remember this like it was yesterday, (somehow being a mom strengthens your memory) When he was a baby and I was starting him on baby food (he was eating nine jars a day and then I started making my own) I noticed that his nose and the bottoms of his heels were turning yellow.  I called the doctor because being an overprotective mother, I thought he was jaundiced.  Doc said give a week or two and see what happens, at that point he only got yellower.  It ended up that he was eating SO many veggies that his body was excreting the color through his skin.  He was actually turning orange.  I have photos that I look at now and we laugh at.

To this day that boy is my veggie kid.  He loves his steak, but it always has to have spinach, asparagus, or a yellow one like squash with it.  He'll eat anything and everything out of the garden. (other than the snails)

So glad your little one is enjoying his first taste of foods, and that you are giving him loads of the vegetables.  Followed up with a sweet of pears or peaches of course!!!

Thanks for your comment today.  I'll certainly let you know where I'm at on WordPress, it's a much MUCH better blog environment.  No catty"ness", no cliques, no insults, just intelligent folks sharing ideas.  You should try it some time.  Best to you friend.....Sue

Watch out for the orange skin! :)  I think that is the funniest thing when the kids turn slightly orange. :)

Have a great day!
