Whew...that's a load off my mind!!!

Today was a good day.  Jon Kent was a little fussy but by all means he deserved to be!!!  We went to the doctor today and here are the stats.  In two weeks Jon Kent gained 2 pounds (that means he is now 9 pounds even), is 21.5 inches long and is above average in all his growth charts.  The doctor said she wanted him to be gaining 1oz a day and he is gaining 1.8oz a day!  LOL!  My little pig!!!  He had to get one shot and then a hill prick.  He cried both times but thankfully I was able to comfort him and he went back to sleep.  The doctor also had to up his dose of zantac because she said with his weight gain the dose we had him at was not effective.  She said if he keeps spitting and throwing up that our next step would be to send him to a specialist.  I told her that I wanted to start weaning him off the breast and onto formula and she gave me samples of Enfamil A.R. and we started feeding him that.  I'm going to take it slowly so that it's easy on him and on me.  But I am hoping by late January early Feburary he is completely weaned off the breast.  If anyone has any ideas of drying up my milk...let me know!  Anyway, my little piglet is doing good.

My hormones...thankfully....are starting to clear up.  I am tell that I am happier and feel better about my mothering skills.  I now *want* to mother Jon Kent where as before it was really hard to not just want to throw in the towel.  I guess that is just part of the baby blues.  I know things will get even better when I am allowed to exercise the way that I used to!

Tomorrow Kent and I are going over to his Granny's for a family Christmas gathering.  I am actually looking forward to it.  Kent is taking the whole day off which will be nice.  I love having him home with me.  Anywho, the Christmas thing should go well and Jon Kent should rack up...LOL!  I'm looking forward to giving our gifts to others as well.  I always like to see the look on people's faces when they open their gifts.  Because I honestly take the time to pick people's gifts out.  I don't like to just throw gifts at people without any thought put into it...know what I mean???  Anywho...it should be a good time!

Well, I need to go.  I smell like formula and there are clothes to be washed, dried, and hung.  Yall be good and have a great weekend!!!!
